Hunger Games Dress

The Hunger Games dress worn by Katniss is one of the highlights in the Hunger Games movie. Any Hunger Games  fan knows how important the fiery dress that Cinna (Lenny Kravitz) designs for Katniss  is.

 Ever since we heard the series would get the movie treatment, we’ve been wondering how in the world they’ll manage to make our brave heroine look like she’s on fire.

 Katniss' pre-Games interview gown is described in awesome detail in The Hunger Games. To achieve this look, start with a floor-length red one-shoulder dress, preferably made of satin or taffeta.

As for hair and makeup, complete your costume with smoky eyes, red lips, an intricate braided up do and a LOT of body glitter.

Katniss  sits nervously. The most recent stills reveal just what the Games-changing gown looks like. We’re going to be honest: It’s gorgeous, but we’re a little underwhelmed. Where's the flame-like quality? Hopefully it'll get more of a flickering effect when we see it moving on the big screen.
